Urfa Digital History and Culture Island
Twelve thousand years, from Göbeklitepe to today, on a single island.
WHAT IS THE ISLAND?
Here history is not read; it is walked, touched and heard.
The Urfa Digital History and Culture Island is a digital museum on the shore of Balıklıgöl that tells Şanlıurfa's twelve-thousand-year story through light, sound and movement. Walls answer your hand, a ring on the ceiling counts the eras, and all four walls of a room turn into Urfa at once.
From the pillars of Göbeklitepe to the beehive houses of Harran, from Ayyubid complexes to the Liberation: every era meets you with its own imagery, narrative and space.
All content is in three languages; maps, audio narration and directions travel to your phone.
